Communicate & Collaborate in Real time
... with Google Wave! There's been a lot of hype over Google Wave and you've certainly already heard about this new service. It's a new personal communication and collaborative tool developed by Google in Australia and designed to merge emails, instant messaging, social networks and wikis. This very promising communication tool is still in development but is expected by many to revolutionise the way we communicate and collaborate on the web. With Google Wave, you don't send emails to recipients anymore but you create and share waves that you can move around, embed in blogs and sites and even play back. It's very intuitive and has the potential to become a great work tool. It's customisable and has lots of very useful features, which makes us wonder if this is the beginning of the end of the email era... Google also plans to release most of the source code as open source which means that web developers will be able to create applications and extensions. This is great news and we really look forward to learning more on the opportunities this new web-based service brings. If you haven't received an invitation to join the preview version of Google Wave yet, make sure you ask around you or request an invitation from Google and make your own opinion. Anyhow, Google seems to be constantly trying to provide web users with new tools to help them make the most out of the internet... and we can't really complain about this, can we? -- Posted By iSmart Software to iSmart Blog at 11/17/2009 |
