iSmart RSS Feed assists you in the implementation of RSS feeds on your website. This pluglet allows you to have automatically updated content, which is a great news if you want to make your website more dynamic and and search engine friendly. Search engines like Google, Yahoo! and MSN are known to reward websites that are regularly updated. This is automatically updated content, in a few clicks!

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a syndication format used to publish frequently updated content such as news headlines, podcasts and more... An RSS feed usually contains a summary of content from an associated news web site. RSS makes it possible to keep your website updated with news from feeds providers in an automated manner.

How does it work?

If you are quite familiar with pluglets, there is nothing easier than implementing an RSS page on your website. If not, here is a short explanation...

Log onto iSmart Create, create a new page, click on the Pluglet icon and select RSS Feed.

URL To RSS
Insert the URL of the RSS news data you have chosen on Google News, Yahoo! News or any other news website that provides RSS services. Make sure the page you have selected is an RSS page and not a classic web page.

Max Number Of Items
Choose the number of items you want to be displayed on the page.

Keyword 1 and Keyword 2
Select keywords that will act as filters. Only news that comprise the keywords you have selected will be displayed.

Date Style, Category Style, Link Style and Description Style
You may select specific styles for different elements of the page.

Click OK and preview it to see your RSS page looks like!
